Bewdley Town Council
Local BMX and skate enthusiasts can now practise their skills at the district’s new pump track in St George’s Park, Kidderminster.
The new tarmac track, opened by Wyre Forest District Council and partly funded by the Friends of St George's Park, is proving to be a big success with BMX riders, skateboarders, roller skaters and scooter riders of all abilities and ages flocking to the park to test it out.
Signage in the park reminds visitors to follow the Government's social distancing guidelines.
Councillor John Thomas, Cabinet Member for Operational Services said: “It's great to see this fantastic new facility being used by residents.
"It's a wonderful addition to St George’s Park and will provide a safe space for people of all ages to exercise, have fun and hone their skills for years to come.
“We have signs in place reminding visitors to follow social distancing guidelines and about the importance of taking any rubbish home or using the bins available to help us keep the district a safe, clean and green living environment.”
