A EXHIBITION of photographs which showcases when the stars came to Bewdley will be on display at St George's Hall for the next six weeks.

The collection of photographs, taken by Kidderminster photographer Colin Hill, show musicians, comedians and actors during their performances at Bewdley Festival over recent years.

The exhibition opened at St George's Hall, in Bewdley, on Monday (September 11) and will run until Sunday, October 22.

Mr Hill said: "It has been a privilege to have been able to meet and photograph the stars that have come to Bewdley."

Dave Collins, Bewdley Festival director, added: "Over many years, Colin Hill has served Bewdley Festival well as both a champion of the visual arts and its official photographer.

"He has compiled a superb archive of photographs chronicling the festival's many great artists and events.

"For festival-goers, this exhibition at St George's Hall will instantly reignite memories of recent years."

This year's Bewdley Festival, which celebrates its thirtieth anniversary, runs between October 6, and October 15. The line-up includes Roger McGough and LiTTLe MACHiNe, Timothy Watson, Dr Pete Waterman OBE, T'pau, Jan Ravens and Sara Pascoe.
